Slurm's Secret Bag
Perhaps you'd been for a walk, or maybe you'd gone to pickup some food from the market, or grab a drink at the Fourth Moon. Regardless of the reason, you were thoroughly enjoying the peaceful afternoon.
Such peace rarely lasts of course, and as you turn a corner, the rest of your plans are cast aside as a blue orange blur slammed into you. You both tumble to the ground, and a familiar voice speaks up.
Slurm: SHIT. Sorry, lemme help you up.
Slurm, of course. They climb back to their feet and help you, and pick up a satchel they were carrying. They glance at it, and behind themselves, as if being followed.
Slurm: ...
Slurm: Hey, didn't you say you were on your way toward the woods?
You hadn't said anything of the kind.
Slurm: Oh, well I need you to. Listen, I've got some top secret research going, and if the wrong folks find out, years worth of information will all be for nothing.
Slurm: And it's not any of that nerd stuff in the library, this is REAL DISCOVERY! I think I've ginally figured out what those stinkin weems-
They seem to notice they're giving away more than they should be.
Slurm: And you can help! Just take this to Cobalt, out in the woods. Don't look inside, and don't tell Gayley you talked with me if he asks. He's afraid of progress!
Slurm is a known trouble magnet. You think it may be for the best to either say no, or bring it to gayley's attention. Then-
Slurm: Listen, I'll make it worth your while. Dinner, and all the drinks you want, tonight, down at the 'Moon. My treat. Bring a friend if you want, I don't care. Just make sure Cobalt gets this bag, and nobody is the wiser. Deal?
You can't believe you're doing this, but Crow's got his famous crub chowder on the specials board, and there's a new comet drop wine you've been dying to try. You find yourself shaking on what is surely a bad idea, and Slurm disappearing around the next corner, leaving you with a mysterious satchel.
As your mind clears, you weigh your options. Gayley's post is only around the corner, you could go talk with him. But then again, it wouldn't take more than an hour to dash out to the woods, make a delivery, and get back in time for appetizers and cocktails...
