Slurm's Secret Bag
The last few times that chowder's been on the menu, they've run out before you've gotten in for a bowl. You're not about to pass up some for free. You set off to the forest, your previous errands forgotten. The town is busy, but the woods are surprisingly quiet, even with the strange alchemist plying his trade inside, as if everyone else has made their way to town, waiting for something.
You greet Cobalt well before he'd sense you nearby, the last thing you'd want to do is surprise him. He looks up from his worktable, and seems to size you up with his blank eyes.
Cobalt: You need something?
You explain the strange meeting you had, and offer him the satchel.
Cobalt: Unsurprising, really. Let me see what they've got for me.
He takes the satchel, and shakes it unceremoniously. Something inside rattles, you almost wonder if there's some of his famous potions inside, but he seems excited. He reaches inside, and grabs what appears to be some sort of fist sized crystal, shaped like a mushroom. He brings it to his face, and immediately shoves it in his mouth, biting at it as his magic glands alight.
Cobalt: Ohhhh!! The real thing, huh? Take this, and let me get to work.
He shoves a seemingly random glass vial from his desk into your hands, and sends you on your way.
Cobalt: OH! AND TELL ME WHAT THAT DOES IF YOU DRINK IT!
You make your way back to town, confused, but more importantly, hungry. Chowder here you come!
