You're looking to get your name officially changed... but there's not a lot of bureaucracy in Staves Rest... hopefully this goes well?

Regardless of your reason, the time has come.
You've mustered up the courage to approach the doors to the town hall and there you currently stand. With one final breath, you push the heavy wooden doors open and enter the building, the doors slowly closing behind you before making a thunderous boom as they fall shut. The sound echoes through the hollow, high-walled building.

It is mostly empty, save for a familiar face at a window about 10 feet to your right. Familiar... but not who you were expecting.

Tiamat: Welcome to Staves Rest Town Hall, what can I help you with?

Her voice is flat, as expected.
You remark about how you were expecting someone else to work here as you walk over to the window.

Tiamat: My father owns the bank, I am the manager. I don't need to always be there when the bank is open for it to function.

Tiamat: Benita does a fine job on her own. She wasn't originally hired to be a teller but she gladly accepted the additional work.

Tiamat: Ahem, anyways, what did you say you needed?

You explain that you wanted to get your name legally changed and assumed this would be the place to do so, but you weren't really sure.

Tiamat: Name change? Simple.

Tiamat: Let's see here...

Tiamat turns around to face a file cabinet behind her and pulls open a drawer, producing a single sheet of paper.

Tiamat: Are you a felon?

You let out a single, dry chuckle that sounds more like a cough, thankfully it doesn't seem to come across as awkward to Tiamat.

Tiamat: Heh, just messing with you. I'd know if you were.

She places the paper on the desk between you two and slides it towards you, placing a pen on top. At first glance, the page appears completely empty, but then she points at two lines at the top of the page that you missed. The first is labeled "Current Legal Name" and the second is "Desired Name".

Tiamat: Just fill this out for me real quick. Processing fee is 10 gold. Then you're good to go.

As you fill out the form, you smile and comment that this is a lot easier than you thought it would be.

Tiamat: It's thanks to my impeccable filing system. When everything is easy to locate, this will take no more than an hour.

Tiamat: I'll print out a new ID and sent it with Mallory in a few days. A new copy of your mortgage too, and any other legal documents.
