Eye Upgrades
Eye upgrades are very finicky!
Some upgrades are combinable, others not.
Some allow for new colors, some don't.
Read very carefully before applying any (especially multiples) of these upgrades!
Slit Pupils
Yeah it's uuuuuh [pulls a cat out of the inside of my jacket and looks it dead in the eyes] about 6pm
Beans Required: 100
Requirement:
Draw the staxie you want this upgrade for in the dark! Is it nighttime? A cave? What're they up to??
Rules:
-Can be vertical or horizontal!
-These pupils can dilate when in the dark or when excited!
Shaped Pupils
Heart eyes, motherfucker.
Beans Required: 200
Requirement:
Animate the staxie you want this upgrade for blinking!
Rules:
-Animation must be at least a colored bust!
-Must be at least 3 frames.
(that's bare minimum, I believe in you)
-Pupils MUST follow one of the shapes above!
Colored Sclera
I've heard of pink eye but this is ridiculous.
Beans Required: 75
Requirement:
Draw the staxie you want this upgrade for crying! Aw, what happened?
Rules:
-Color your staxie's eye-whites!
Can be can be any color(s), gradients included, but must be distinguishable from black
[These colors CANNOT be color mixed later]
-Both sclera must be identical.
Glowing Eyes
Remember that flashlight I stuck in my ear?
Beans Required: 250
Age Requirement: 3 months
Requirement:
​​Draw the staxie you want this upgrade for with a bioluminescent plant or animal!
Rules:
-Eyes glow in the dark or at will!
-Eyes can glow either iris, iris ring, or colored pupil color. I don't really care.
Asymmetrical Pupils
Yes there IS a frame where they're the same, be nice to me.
Beans Required: 300
Requirement:
The staxie you want this upgrade for have had Shaped Pupils for 3 deviations prior to adding this upgrade!
Rules:
-Each pupil must follow one of the original shape options OR Slit Pupils.
Scleral Heterochromia
One step closer to becoming Sasuke.
Beans Required: 150
Age Requirement: 2 months
Requirement:
The staxie you want this upgrade for have had Colored Sclera for 3 deviations prior to adding this upgrade!
Rules:
-Can be can be any color(s), gradients included, but must be distinguishable from black.
[These colors CANNOT be color mixed later]
Colored Pupils
Hey dude, I think you should see a doctor.
Beans Required: 400
Rules:
-Can be can be any color(s), gradients included, but must be distinguishable from black.
[These colors CANNOT be color mixed later]
-Both pupils must be identical.
Scleral Rings
Oooh, my sssssacroiliac...
Beans Required: 250
Requirement:
Write a 1,000 word story about the staxie you want this upgrade for! It can be about anything!
Rules:
-Several rings that circle the iris!
-Can be ANY color!
-Can be as little as one ring or as many as you can fit!
Third Eye
seeing you
Beans Required: 500
Requirement:
The staxie you want this upgrade for must be official in any one Intermediate Magic!
Rules:
-Third eye must be located on the center of the forehead.
-Third Eye MUST be your staxie's default eye color when applied, unless your staxie has Heterochromia, then it can be any color!
-All eye upgrades affect Third Eye.
-If your staxie has Eye Glands, so does the Third Eye!
Pupilar Heterochromia

Age Requirement: 3 months
Requirement:
The staxie you want this upgrade for have had Colored Pupils for 3 deviations prior to adding this upgrade!
Rules:
-Can be can be any color(s), gradients included, but must be distinguishable from black
[These colors CANNOT be color mixed later]
Deprived Rings
Eye black, but... inside your eyes.
Beans Required: 250
Requirement:
Write a 1,000 word story about the staxie you want this upgrade for! It can be about anything!
Rules:
-A black ring that encircles the iris.
-Can be combined with Shaped Pupils and Slit Pupils like so!
Odd Eyes
still seeing you
Beans Required: 750
Requirement:
The staxie you want this upgrade for must be official in 3 Intermediate Magics!
Rules:
-Your staxie can now have as many extra eyes as you want.
-All Odd Eyes must be placed above the neck.
-Odd Eyes MUST be your staxie's default eye color when applied, unless your staxie has Heterochromia, then they can be any color!
-All eye upgrades affect Third Eye.
-If your staxie has Eye Glands, so does the Odd Eyes!
Blank Eyes
There's not a thought behind those eyes...
Age Requirement: 3 months
Requirement:
​The staxie you want this upgrade for must complete the quest Here's a Little Lesson in Thievery!
Rules:
-Can be any color when first applied!
-Can be applied to one eye or both.
-Must be ONE SOLID color!
-CAN be combined with Pupils (all types) to simply remove the irises.
Eye Color Changer
Pop in some colored-contacts!
Age Requirement: 6 months
(and 6 months between uses)
Rules:
-Changes the iris color(s) of your staxie!
-Does NOT unlock Heterochromia, Iris Rings, or Blank Eyes...
...but this upgrade can be used to change the colors of those upgrades if your staxie has them!
-Simply reapply this upgrade (after 3 deviations AND 6 months) to change the color(s) of your staxie's irises again!
Remove / Reapply an Upgrade
I hate every part of every of this.
Beans Required: 0
Requirement:
Draw you staxie at least 3 times with the upgrade you want to remove or reapply!
Rules:
-This allows you to remove an upgrade you no longer want on your staxie OR change/move an upgrade around!
-When removing or reapplying an upgrade, make sure to clearly state you are removing/reapplying an upgrade and link the 3 deviations required.
-The upgrade does NOT need to be visible in the 3 images to remove it.
-The image where you first applied the upgrade CAN count as one of the 3 images needed tor remove it.
-This allows you to remove Markings around and move Patches from back to front, or vice versa.
-Injuries have unique rules in order to be removed and thus cannot be removed "normally" like other upgrades!
