This quest bypasses the one month cooldown for hatching one egg; you may use personal NPCs, another member's characters, or official NPCs for this quest!
You give the sundial sitting outside the Stumphouse a quick glance on your way inside-- it seems you're a few minutes late for class. It's been awhile since you've stepped foot in here... maybe you never have stepped foot in here.
Disoriented from being late compounded with being unfamiliar with the place, you struggle to get your bearings, but before you get too lost five feet in the building, you feel someone nudge your back.
Leutogi: Hey! You're here for the class, it looks like?
Leutogi uses her head to gesture to the sheet of paper in your hand and the egg in the other.
Leutogi: I was just about to get started. Come, come!
Leutogi: I had to wrangle a few stumps so I'm running a bit late.
She motions for you to follow her across the lobby and down the hall, entering a room with the door already open. Inside, there sat about a half-dozen staxies, each with an egg or two of their own.
Leutogi: Hey, sorry for the delay! Thank you for coming everyone.
Leutogi: I had a few staxies ask me to teach classes about eggs and raising stumps, but I didn't really think anyone would bite if I offered, I thought it was just a passing compliment or something.
Leutogi: Ahem, anyways, thank you for coming! I uh said that already... but it's not a bad thing to be thanked again, right? (Oof.)
Leutogi: You probably know me already, but in case you don't, I'm Leutogi. I'm the Moomy here at the Staves Rest Stumphouse.
Skipper: Aa.
Leutogi: Oh-- and this is Skipper. I didn't think she'd be awake already.
Leutogi: And for the sake of finishing introductions, this is... Echo?
Leutogi: Echo???
Leutogi: Cripes, where did she go??
Leutogi: Hah shit... lesson number one, once your stump can walk, they sure will.
Leutogi: ...walk, I mean. They sure will walk-- th-they like to wander, if that wasn't clear, which I don't think it was.
Leutogi: But in all seriousness, raising a stump is hard, even when you have two sets of hands. I think the important thing to remember is that it's okay to ask for a third pair, or fourth and fifth.
Leutogi: No one should have to do this alone, it's not good for you or the stump. And this bleeds into my next lesson--
Leutogi: Do y'all mind lending me a hand? Not to sound unprofessional... (Though I did just talk about how everyone needs help with stumps sometimes and that's okay...)
Leutogi: Echo can't be unsupervised for too long. She needs her medication regularly and I need to know if she ate something and she will definitely try to eat something she shouldn't be eating.
Leutogi: She's a sneaky one. She's probably in the lobby or in the dining room or kitchen.
Leutogi: If you help me out, I can uh... oh! I can give you a Moomy Sticker! What does it do? Uh... nothin' really, but some staxies claim it does good things for an egg.
